The ingredients needed to make Chilli paneer gravy:
  1. Get For paneer pakoda:–
  2. Get 1/4 cup cornflour
  3. Get 1/4 cup maida/all purpose flour
  4. Take 1/2 tsp Garlic paste
  5. Take 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  6. Get 1 tsp soya sauce
  7. Get 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder / lal mirch powder
  8. Get 1/4 tsp salt
  9. Prepare 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  10. Take 1/4 cup water
  11. Make ready 200 gm paneer–cut in cubes
  12. Take As needed oil for deep frying
  13. Get For gravy:—
  14. Get 4 tsp oil
  15. Get 2 cloves Garlic, finely chopped
  16. Take 2 tsp ginger, finely chopped
  17. Get 4 tbsp or 2 small spring onion, finely chopped
  18. Prepare 2 tbsp or 1 small onion, finely chopped
  19. Make ready 1 small to medium sized capsicum(green & red), cubed
  20. Make ready 2 green chilli, slit
  21. Take 2 tsp vinegar
  22. Get 2 tsp soy sauce
  23. Take 1 tsp red chilli sauce
  24. Take 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  25. Get 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  26. Prepare 1/4 tsp salt or as required
  27. Get 1/2-1 tsp sugar or add as required
  28. Get 1 tbsp corn flour
  29. Get 2-3 tbsp water for dissolving corn flour
  30. Prepare 1 cup water
  31. Get 2-3 spring onion green to be added later(optional)
  32. Prepare As needed Some sesame seeds for garnishing
Steps to make Chilli paneer gravy:
  1. Firstly, in a large mixing bowl add 1/4 cup corn flour,1/4 cup maida, 1/4 tsp pepper, ½ tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp soy sauce, 1/4 tsp salt and 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste.
  2. Add 1/4 cup water and prepare batter.
  3. Prepare a smooth, lump free and flowing consistency batter.
  4. Further dip cubes of paneer / cottage cheese into batter and coat.
  5. Deep fry in hot oil stirring occasionally.
  6. Fry the paneer till they turn golden and crisp.
  7. Drain off the fried paneer onto a kitchen paper and keep aside.
  8. Prepare the the gravy by heating 4 tsp oil and saute 2 cloves garlic.
  9. Also add 2 tbsp spring onion, 2 tbsp onion and 2 green chilli. saute well.
  10. Furthermore add 1 capsicum (green & red) or green only and saute slightly.
  11. Additionally, add 2 tsp vinegar, 2 tsp soy sauce, 1 tsp chilli sauce, 1/4 tsp pepper and 1/4 tsp salt.here add 1 tsp sugar or tomato ketchup according to taste.
  12. Saute on high flame till the sauce thickens.
  13. Now prepare corn flour water by dissolving 1 tbsp corn flour in 2-3 tbsp water and after that add 1 cup water.
  14. Pour the corn flour water and stir continuously till the gravy thickens and turns glossy.
  15. Turn off the flame and add in fried paneer. mix well till the paneer gets coated well with gravy.
  16. Finally, serve chilli paneer gravy recipe garnished with some sesame seeds.
