Recipe of Homemade Sambhar

Hello everybody, it is Brad, welcome to our recipe page. Today, we’re going to prepare a special dish, sambhar. One of my favorites. For mine, I will make it a little bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Sambhar is one of the most popular of current trending foods on earth. It is appreciated by millions every day. It is easy, it is fast, it tastes delicious. Sambhar is something which I have loved my whole life. They are nice and they look fantastic.

To begin with this particular recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can have sambhar using 20 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Sambhar:
  1. Prepare 1 cup mix dal(tuvar, moong, mashoor)
  2. Get 2 chopped tomato
  3. Get 1 cup yellow kaddu( pumpkin)
  4. Take 1 cup chopped lauki/ bottle gourd
  5. Take 1 carrot chopped
  6. Prepare 150 gm munga fali(sehjan)
  7. Take 2 green chilli chopped
  8. Make ready 2 red dry chilli
  9. Prepare 1 big Onion roughly chopped
  10. Take 2 tbsp sambhar masala powder
  11. Take 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  12. Make ready 1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
  13. Prepare 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  14. Make ready 1/2 tsp rai ( mustard)seeds
  15. Prepare 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  16. Prepare 10 curry leaves
  17. Take 1 tsp jaggery or gud
  18. Take 1 tsp imli ( tamarind)pulp
  19. Take 3 tsp Chopped Coriander leaves
  20. Prepare 4 tsp Mustard oil
Steps to make Sambhar:
  1. Take the daal wash it now transfer into a cooker and pour 4 cup of water, add some salt and turmeric powder,let the vissile come on medium flame (3vissiles) keep it aside
  2. Now take a pan heat it,now pour little Mustard oil, now added, cumin seeds, chopped chilli, onion saute it for 2,3 min now added all chopped vegetables, like kaddu,lauki,and saute it for 2,3 min in medium flame,
  3. When all vegetables turn little soft, now added chopped tomato,and sambhar masala,red chili powder and salt,mix well and saute for 2, 3 min
  4. Now transfer the vegetables into daal(which I have all ready cooked in pressure cooker) mix it with daal,add Coriander powder, kashmiri red chili powder,1 tbsp sambhar masala mix well and again pressure cook for 1 vissile,and let it completely cool
  5. Now take a tadka pan heat it now pour some Mustard oil,now added rai seeds, dry red chili, curry leaves,let it crackle now off the flame, transfer the tadka into cooked sambhar
  6. Lastly added 1 tbsp of jaggery and imli pulp into sambhar and mix all ingredients very well, let boil the sambhar for 3,4min in high flame now off the flame serve hot, garnish with some green Coriander leaf
