Together all ingredients, in a heat pan boil water,add salt& oil,now add rice flour,mix with rolling pin properly.keep stirring continuesly till thickens.
Make soft dough,cool it.grease oil in a idli plate,grease sev maker with jali.
Heat sufficient water in a steamer,grease idli mould,make a cylindrical shape of the dough,grease sev maker with jali,put dough in sev maker close the lid press the dough through the maker into swirls on to the greased mould.
Place it in the steamer & steam for 7-8 minutes.Serve hot with tomato kurma.
For tomato kurma——In a heat pan add oil fennel seeds,tej patta,stir,curry leaves,now add chopped onions,garlic,sauté for 2 minutes,now add tomato,cook 1 minute,add spinach,coriander,sauté.
Make a paste of coconut,cashews &poppy seeds,add paste in tomato mixture,add masala,& 1/4 cup water,cook 2-3 minutes.
Blend it only 1 time in a blender jar Our tomato kurma are ready,,serve with iddyappam.
