The ingredients needed to make Dahi Vada:
  1. Prepare 1/2 cup Moong Dal
  2. Get 1/2 cup urad dal
  3. Get 2 cup thick curd
  4. Take 2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  5. Take 2 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  6. Take To taste salt
  7. Prepare 1 tsp black salt
  8. Make ready 2 tsp sugar
  9. Prepare As required dry mango chutney
  10. Take As required green chutney
  11. Take 3 tbsps sev
  12. Make ready as per need Oil for deep frying
  13. Make ready Pinch asafoetida
  14. Prepare 5 garlic cloves
  15. Get 1 tsp chili ginger paste
  16. Prepare As required Chopped coriander
Instructions to make Dahi Vada:
  1. Wash& soak both dal for 5-6 hours,after 5 hours remove water from dal,grind soaked dal without water with garlic cloves.
  2. Make a smooth paste,add green chili ginger paste,in a bowl mix dal paste with salt,pinch asafoetida,mix everything well mix with fingers for 5-7 minutes make a soft & thick batter.
  3. In a frying pan heat oil for frying,fry the vadas on medium flame till little golden brown,take it out in a plate.
  4. Now mix sugar in curd make a smooth consistency.In a big bowl add water put vadas for 15-20 minutes.make mango- dates chutney.
  5. Make green chutney,after 20 minutes take vadas from water press slightly put in a serving plate,pour curd with help of spoon,then green chutney,mango chutney,sprinkle salt,black salt,cumin powder,red chili powder,garnish with sev & coriander.Healthy tasty mouth watering dahivada is ready
