The ingredients needed to make Pyaaz ki Sabzi:
Get 500 gm onions
Get 2 green chilies
Make ready 3 medium tomatoes
Get 1/2 inch ginger (Julien)
Prepare 1 tsp cumin seeds
Prepare 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
Prepare 1 tsp fennel seeds
Prepare 1 tsp mustard seeds
Get 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Take 1 tsp coriander powder
Prepare 1 tsp red chilli powder
Make ready 1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
Prepare 1 tsp aamchur ( dry mango)powder
Make ready 1 tbsp besan/ Gram flour
Prepare 3 tbsp curd
Prepare 1 tbsp kasuri methi
Prepare 1 tsp garam masala
Get 4 tbsp mustard oil
Prepare to taste Salt
Instructions to make Pyaaz ki Sabzi:
Use medium to small sized onions, peel and wash them. In order to cook them properly slit them in half.
Take the tomatoes and ginger and make a paste in a mixer grinder.
Slit the green chilies and keep aside.
Heat the mustard oil in a pan.
After the oil heats up add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and fennel seeds and let it splatter.
When the seeds starts to splatter add in the tomato and ginger paste and cook till the mixture starts to leave oil on low flame.
Then add in the dry spices I.e. turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, kashmiri red chili powder and aamchur powder. Cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
When the mixture starts to leave oil again add besan and cook for another 3-4 mins on low flame.
Then add in the curd and mix properly on low flame.
Then add the onions and cover and cook for 10 mins on low flame.
After 10 mins the onions will be cooked properly then add kasuri methi and garam masala.
Your subzi is ready to serve. Garnish it with green chilies and serve hot with chapati.
