  1. Soak tuvar dal for half an hour. Chop tomatoes. Keep both in small pressure cooker.
  2. Add water & pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles
  3. Churn it or blend it coursely
  4. Make tamarind pulp
  5. Boil it, while boiling add tamarind pulp, curry leaves, salt, kashmiri red chili powder, rasam powder, jaggery & coriander.
  6. Give tempering. Heat tadka pan. Add ghee, when its heated add mustard seeds. Let it be spluttered. Add asaefoetida.
  7. Pour tadka in boiling rasam. Serve hot. You may enjoy this rasam with rice or with medu vada.
