Take 1/4 cup split moong dal

Take 1 table spoon kashmiri red chili powder

Prepare For bati
Get 2 cups wheat flour
Prepare 1/2 cup semolina or rava
Make ready 4 table spoon ghee or clarified butter
Take as per taste Salt
Get As required Water to knead the dough
Take For churma
Prepare 3 batis
Take 2 table spoon ghee or clarified butter
Get 2 table spoon powdered sugar
Get 7-8 almonds
Make ready 7-8 cashews
Take 2-3 cardamom
Instructions to make Dal bati churma:
Mix all dals. Soak for 2 hours. Pressure cook for 6 to 7 whistles
Heat oil. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, cloves, green chili, bay leaf, asaefoetida saute for minute. Add onion. Saute till it turn into golden brown colour.
Add curry leaves, cumin coriander powder, red chili powder, kashmiri red chili powder, turmeric powder & garam masala.
Pour dal. Add salt & water. Adjust consistency. Boil for 15 minutes.
In mixing bowl take wheat flour, semolina, ghee & salt. Mix all well.
Knead dough tightly.
Make 10 balls. Give shape like shown in picture. Fold from all side. Make a ball.
Make 10 equal balls.
Roast on stove rack on low medium flame. It will take 15 to 20 minutes to roast bati completely.
Crush 3 batis in mixer jar. Add sugar, ghee & dry fruits. Blend in mixer coarsely.
Dal bati is ready. Serve with garlic chutney, masala buttermilk, sliced onion & lemon slices. Enjoy the whole thali.
