  1. Make ready 1/2 cup urad dal (roasted)
  2. Take 1/2 tsp haldi powder
  3. Make ready 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  4. Take 1/2 tsp ginger and green chilli paste
  5. Take to taste Salt
  6. Get 1 tbsp refined oil
  7. Get For tadka
  8. Take as required Few curry leaves (chopped)
  9. Prepare 8-10 garlic (crushed)
  10. Prepare 2 whole dry red chili
Instructions to make Garlic  Urad  Dal  Recipe:
  1. If you wash the dal and cook it will be sticky. So don't wash the dal. Heat cooker and roast the dal till it is light brown in colour. Cool it and wash the dal twice.
  2. Drain the water. Now boil the dal. If you have taken 1/2 cup dal then add 2 cup water boil it and wait for 3 whistles. Once it is done. Cool it and take out the lid and add haldi powder, red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp haldi powder, 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp ginger and green chilli paste and Salt to taste. Mix……….well. Again boil it for 10 minutes. If you want juicy then add little water. If you want gravy then no need of adding water.
  3. For tadka : Heat oil in tadka pan. Few curry leaves, whole dry red chilli and crushed garlic fry for 3 seconds. Once it is done. Switch off the flame and pour the tadka on the top of the dal. Once it is done.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve……………….with hot………………chappati's and steam……………rice……………………….
