Get For dry masala powder

Prepare 1 onion chopped
Prepare 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
Get 1 tomato medium size pureed
Take 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
Make ready 40 ml oil
Make ready 1-2 slit green chillies
Take to taste Salt
Take 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Make ready as required Marinated chicken
Make ready 1 tsp prepared dry masala
Take as required Coriander (Handful)
Get as required Coriander leaves for garnish
Steps to make Cumin chicken curry:
Place a pan to heat, dry roast the whole spices as mentioned in the ingredients. As it's warm, grind into a fine powder and keep aside.
Next marinate the chicken with the above-mentioned ingredients and keep for an hour in refrigerator. - Next as chicken is marinated, place a kadhai with oil and heat it. Splutter cumin seeds.
Next add chopped onion and slit green chillies. Saute till brownish. Next add ginger garlic paste and continue sauteing.
Next add salt as required, turmeric powder and mix. Add the marinated chicken and mix. Let it cook for 5 minutes in high flame. Be near and flip and stir, else it may burn. This high flame cooking will make your chicken juicy. Next make the flame slow and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
Now cover and continue cooking in slow flame till chicken are softened. Now add the pureed tomato. Do not mix. Cover and cook. As tomato looses it's rawness, mix well.
Now add the most important component of the dish…I.e the prepared dry masala having awesome flavour. Predominantly the cumin flavour. Mix. Now add water just covering the chicken and cook in medium flame.
Cook till you get the required consistency. Now add finely chopped coriander leaves and mix.
