Prepare 3 tbsp Oil
Instructions to make Murgh Kali Mirchi(Pepper Chicken):
Add 1 tsp ground pepper, lime juice, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, salt, and 1 tsp garlic paste to the chicken, mix well and let it marinate.
Heat some oil in a pan and fry the chopped ginger and garlic on a low flame.
Stir occasionally and fry till they start turning golden brown, then add the chopped onions.
Mix well and cook till the onions are soft.
Add marinated chicken and mix well.
Now add chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chicken masala, 1 tsp pepper powder and salt.
Add lemon juice, mix well, close the lid, and cook on a low flame for 15 minutes.
When you open the lid you will see that the chicken is cooked well in the juices, then add one more tsp of pepper powder, sliced green chilies, coriander leaves, stir well and cook on a medium flame without the lid.
Switch off the flame and let it rest for another 5-10 minutes before serving.
Serve hot. This pepper chicken dish can be served as a starter/appetizer or with some rice or roti as the main course.
