The ingredients needed to make Chicken Angara:
  1. Get 350 gr chicken (with bones curry cut pieces)
  2. Prepare 1 1/2 tsp coriander seeds
  3. Take 1 tsp cumin seeds
  4. Take 10 peppercorns
  5. Get 3 cloves
  6. Make ready 1 cinnamon stick 1
  7. Make ready 2 1/2 cardamom
  8. Prepare 2 dry red chillies
  9. Take 125 grams curd
  10. Prepare 1 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  11. Get 1 tomato
  12. Make ready 1 onion (fried)
  13. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon salt
  14. Get 1/4 tsp red food coloring
  15. Make ready 1 1/2 tbsp oil
  16. Get 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
Steps to make Chicken Angara:
  1. Dry roast 1 ½ tsp coriander seeds, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 10 peppercorns, 3 cloves, 1 cinnamon stick, 2 ½ cardamom and 2 dry red chillies on a pan for 1 minute.
  2. Grind to make a fine powder.
  3. In a large bowl take 125 grams of curd and add 1 ½ tsp Ginger Garlic Paste and the grinded powder and mix well
  4. Now take a chopped fried onion and a tomato and grind to make a paste.
  5. Now marinate the Chicken with the ½ tsp Salt, curd mixture and ¼ tsp Red food colour
  6. Cover and set aside for 1 hour.
  7. After an hour heat 1 ½ tbsp oil and add the marinated chicken do not add the marinate.
  8. Cook on high flame for 5 minutes and then add the marinate.
  9. Cook for 5 minutes on medium flame and add the onion and tomato paste
  10. Add 1 tsp of Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder and cook for 2 mins on medium flame.
  11. Cover and cook on low heat for 20 minutes
  12. Serve hot and enjoy.
